Naxos is the largest Cycladic Island and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Greece, as it offers visitors positively anything they wish for during their vacations. Some of its most distinctive characteristics are traditional Cycladic architecture, historical and archaeological sites, splendid beaches, beautiful verdant areas and stimulating entertainment venues. Naxos Beaches

Apart from Agios Prokopios Beach and Stelida Beach, Naxos also possesses many other exquisite beaches. A good map of Naxos will show you the best beaches.

On the western side of the island, near Agios Prokopios Beach, you will find the beaches of Agia Anna, Agios Georgios, Orkos and Plaka. On the northwestern coast of Naxos are the beaches of Abrami, Agio Mama and Pachia Ammos, while on the southwestern side you can swim at the beaches of Agiassos, Kastraki, Kalandos, Mikri Vigla and Pyrgaki.

The lovely beaches of Apollonas, Azala, Ligarida, Lionas and Moutsouna are located on the northeastern side of the island. If you head to the southwestern side, you will discover the beaches of Kleido, Panormos, Psili Ammos

Naxos Island is the perfect destination for sightseeing aficionados, due to the fact that it has a long and plentiful historical background.

Stelida, Naxos

Stelida is a lovely area situated above the seaside settlement of Agios Prokopios, one of the most frequented tourist resorts on Naxos Island.

The area is famous for its outstanding golden sandy beach with turquoise waters and is considered the finest on the island and one of the most beautiful in Greece.

During your stay in Agios Prokopios and Stelida, Naxos, we suggest you go to the fairs that take place in the area in July.

The fair of Agios Prokopios is on the 8th of July, continue with the Agios Nikodimos fair on the 14th and end with the Agia Anna fair on the 25th of July.

At the fairs you can enjoy music, dancing and the local delicacies such as meats and game, cheeses, sweet wines and beverages or preserves made from citrus.
